The researchers conducted the study to assess how organizations manage workflows in business operations. The researchers look into the methods used by organizations in analyzing processes and mapping out tasks to detect bottlenecks, delays, and design more efficient and streamlined processes to complete tasks and transactions. Based on the data gathered, businesses still face serious challenges in revealing redundancies and how unconnected tasks are in their business processes. organizations may end up with unorganized documents, unstructured and unconnected tasks which will end up in delays in achieving their business goals.
The researchers of the project proposed an IT-based solution to resolve the challenges faced by business organizations in managing workflows. The researchers aim to develop an automated Workflow Management System to streamline the sequence of business processes.
The capstone project, “Workflow Management System” is purposely designed for business organizations. The system will automate business processes and optimize business operations. The proposed system will eliminate the challenges in efficiently analyzing business processes and mapping out the task to accomplish accurate business workflow.

The researchers mainly focus on designing and developing an automated workflow management system. The system will be limited to business organizations that wish to optimize business efficiency. This paper will only cover the development process of the system and the detailed documentation. Companies and business organization staff will participate as respondents to the study.

This study was conducted to develop a Workflow Management System that will automate workflow management. The developed system was presented to the end-users for assessment in terms of accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency, quality, timeliness, and productivity. The result of the study showed that the developed system met the needs and requirements of the intended users and respondents of the study. The majority of the respondents have seen the potential of the system in optimizing business processes.
Hence, the researchers concluded that the developed system is effective in analyzing business processes and mapping out tasks to detect bottlenecks, delays, and design a more efficient and streamlined process.
