In this sense, the term is used to refer not only to the information and communication technology (ICT) that an organization uses, but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes.
Web and Mobile Based Fish Information Archiving System is a database system that provides the local, English and scientific name and small description of fishes found in the locality. Information system plays an important role in managing a collection data and information. It also provides an effective means for the compilation of relevant documents.
The implementation of the system provides an easy way of retrieval and storage of data and accessing guide information when you needed it.
This system gives an efficient way of managing data for easy retrieval and quick accessibility of information. It also provides a database environment for the proper management of data.
Objectives
The study aims to develop a Web and Mobile Based Fish Information Archiving System which will provide relevant database information system for fishes in your locality.
Specifically, the implementation of the Web and Mobile Based Fish Information Archiving System will be able:
- To add fishes local, scientific and english names and description.
- To quickly browse a specific type of fish and its relevant information.
- To produce an organized listings of fishes in your locality.
- To easily identify type of fish.
Features and System Modules
Administrator/Encoding Module – this is the part of the project in which records are encoded and updated
Cataloging Module – this module provides a search feature for faster searching of records.
Report and Export Module – all records encoded in the system can be printed out or can be exported in an excel format
Mobile App Support (Android) – the records can be viewed using your smartphone or android devices.
Testing
Expert Testing
In this phase, it was where the Web and Mobile Based Fish Information Archiving System project was integrated and compared with the existing manual systems of the office; and was tested by the intended respondents or users.
Upon the system has undergone testing, discussions about its flaws, if possible, will be tackled in this phase to know whether the system functions well or not.
For the evaluation of the developed management system, the developers personally set an appointment with the selected software engineers for software quality assurance evaluation, using the McCall’s Software Quality Model
Final Testing
After a thorough evaluation made by an expert, finally the system is ready for the user acceptance testing to double check and evaluate the features and functions of the developed Information System. This is to ensure that intended functions and features are working properly and that the system is functioning according to the users’ expectations. The developers used a self-made testing tool for the final evaluation of the system and the respondents used are the same with the initial testing
