Hospital Administration is a complex job, it requires efficient management to better serve its purpose to its stakeholders. The hospital’s administration manages various activities every day such as managing records of admitted patients, staff, hospital’s pharmacy, blood bank, billing, patients ward, and other hospital management area. There is an intensified need for an integration of computerized systems to automate management processes.
The capstone project, entitled “Smart Hospital and Research Center” is software intended to be used for hospital management. The software will serve as a centralized platform where all management activities of a hospital are processed electronically. Conventionally, different management area of a hospital is managed separately and manually. The conventional method is time-consuming, involves loads of paperwork, and requires too much manpower.
The researchers proposed an IT-based solution for the above-mentioned concerns and problems encountered by hospital management. The researchers aim to develop a system that will automate hospital management processes. For example, patients information is recorded manually by a staff which is time-consuming and prone to human errors. The conventional way will slow the transactions, processes of information, and data-sharing across every department of the hospital. Without improvements, the hospital may not be able to provide better clinical care to the patients, and the operation of the entire hospital facility will be inefficient. The hospital cannot fully optimize its operations to better serve its purpose.

Objectives of the Study

This study was conducted to introduce another system that will significantly improve the hospital’s functioning.
