Thanks to technological advancements, there are a plethora of instructional and learning materials available online.
The researchers in this study are working on an android-based application that can improve students’ cognition, critical thinking, and creativity while also providing them with fun and humor. The researchers wanted to create a Riddle App, also known as the Bugtong-Bugtong Android application, that they could design, build, and execute.
A riddle, or “Bugtong” in Filipino, is a statement, question, or phrase with a double or hidden meaning that compels the reader or listener to respond. These are puzzles that require people, particularly children, to think critically and imaginatively to find the answer. Riddles might be simple, complex, or just for fun. Riddles are typically discovered in books and other pre-existing resources that aren’t always readily available or accessible. This inhibits individuals who wish to spend more time solving riddles because it takes time and effort to find riddle materials.
With this, the researchers aim to develop an android-based application that contains and displays various riddles. The app can be utilized by the users in a form of a game, wherein the app displays a riddle that they need to answer. The app can be used offline by the users.
