The researchers conducted the study to assess how fraternities and sororities usually connect and communicate with each other. After a thorough study and investigation, the researchers found out that the members still use the conventional approach of socializing. The groups use word-of-mouth or other forms of written communication. The conventional method is not effective and will not easily disseminate the messages.
The most effective way to address the problem is through an IT-based solution. The researchers have seen that computerized systems are an effective platform to centralized the communication between members of fraternities and sororities. The researchers aimed to develop a system that will automate the connection and communication between members of fraternities and sororities.
The project, “FratAppMobi” will be developed by the researchers. It is a mobile-based social networking app for fraternities and sororities. The app will make the communication between members of the group easy, fast, and convenient. Updates and announcements will be easily disseminated by posting them in the application where all members are registered.

Since fraternity and sorority is a group of different people, communication and announcements of updates and events are vital which are usually done using the manual approach. Group leader usually relays message and important updates to members using word-of-mouth which is not effective in quickly disseminating the information. These groups need a centralized platform wherein they can interact easily, quickly, and conveniently.
Proposed Solution
To address the aforementioned concerns, the researchers of the study proposed a mobile-based social networking app for fraternities and sororities. The primary purpose of the application is to serve as a platform where members of fraternities and sororities can converse and connect. The application will serve as a centralized platform where all information that needs to be known by the members of the fraternity can be found. The application will let communication and relaying announcement fast and convenient for each member. The application will also let recruitment of new members happen to reach. The proposed application will streamline the processing of frat-related information.
