The capstone project entitled “Laundry Shop Management System” is a web-based system that allows shop owners to automate the process of records management. It is also intended to properly record the payment of customers in order to generate accurate reports of income.
This article will provide you with an idea on what are the forms to be included in a Laundry Shop Management System. PHP and Bootstrap were used to develop the said template.

Project Highlights
The project entitled “Laundry Management System” is a database driven application that manages the records and transactions of the laundry shop. The said system helps smoothen and improvise the dry cleaners and laundry business management service workflow like laundry record-keeping, laundry billing, and report generation.
- Advantages of the Laundry Management System can be classified into the following:
- Easy Navigation of the business process – records management, billing transaction and report generation is much easier to process
- Records Management – it is a database system which makes the records electronic, safe, reliable and fast.
- Report Generation – the system can provide real-time reports on billing and sales.
System Features by user type
It is a system that can be access by the administrators, encoder, and cashier.
The Administrator can:
- Manage Customer Profile – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) customer or client profile.
- Manage Unit – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) unit information.
- Manage Services – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) services offered information.
- Manage Payment – record payment of the customers.
- Manage Users – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) user detail and information.
Encoder can:
- Manage Customer Profile – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) customer or client profile.
- Manage Unit – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) unit information.
- Manage Services – (CRUD – create, read, update, and delete) services offered information.
Cashier can:
- Manage Payment – record payment of the customers.
How the System works
This section will discuss the flow of the system by showing the forms, modules and user interface of the Laundry Shop Management System. We will now discuss the features presented above.
Login Form – this form is used by the administrator, cashier and encoder of the system. Each user has its own username and password that is used to access the records and features of the projects.

Dashboard – the dashboard serves as the homepage or the main page of the project. The dashboard shows and displays the following information
- number of client – number of client or customer encoded in the system.
- Income report – it displays the income in a daily basis.
- number of transaction – total number of transactions processed.
- Graphical report by service – this graph displays the income when grouped according to the services offered.
- Graphical report by unit – this graph displays the income when grouped according to the unit.

Customer Management Form – the administrator or encoder of the system can access this module. They need to enter or input the following details of the customer in this module.
- First name
- Middle name
- Last name
- Complete Address
- Contact number
- Email address
- Gender
- Civil Status
- Birthdate
- Age
- Profile Picture

Service Management – The service management module is where the list of services are encoded and managed. Administrator or encoder will first to setup the services offered by the laundry shop.

Unit Management – another thing that needs to be encoded is the units or the list of acceptable items the laundry shop can accept. This is where the pricing per unit is also managed.
- Unit name – (example: shirts, pants, jeans, etc).

Payment Module – this module is used to record the transactions as well as to record the payment of the customers based on the services and units availed.
The following are the detail that needs to be encoded in the payment module.
- Customer Name – combo box
- Service Name – combo box (example: washing, ironing, dry cleaning, etc).
- Unit Name – combo box (example: shirts, pants, jeans, etc).
- Quantity
- Charge_amount
- Discount
- Remarks
- Payment Status
- Date of Payment

User Management – administrator can add another user account that can access the project.
User management module includes the following information:
- Fullname
