Companies need a systematic approach that is effective and reliable in choosing suited and competent employees and evaluating their work performance.

The capstone project, entitled “Web-Based Employee Performance Management with Online Recruitment Module” is a system designed to automate performance evaluation and the selection process of employees. Conventionally, evaluation and recruitment of employees are done manually where data are collected and evaluated manually. The manual method is prone to human errors and is costly.

One of the most effective ways to overcome the problems encountered in the pre-existing system is the employment of an IT-based solution. The researchers will develop a system that will assist the HR department in collecting and storing employee data for evaluation and selection.

The implementation of the system will help companies to choose the best candidates for the job. The system will automate all of the processes required to effectively assess employee efficiency. The system will reduce the possibility of errors and will offer a greater advantage in obtaining accurate evaluations and giving recognition to those who work hard.

The system is highly recommended for it will make employee recruitment simpler, lowering the amount of money spent by the organization on recruitment ads.

Introduction

The system would assist in evaluating employee performance for management to identify and give credit to the organization’s hardworking members.

The evaluation and selection of employees in an organization are critical to the company’s overall performance. Traditionally, employee recruitment and performance management have been performed manually. The HR department collects and stores employee’s data manually for assessment and evaluation, which is vulnerable to human error and may not provide accurate results when assessing employee performance. Recruitment also of employees when done manually would cost a large amount to the companies in creating flyers, newspapers, and others to advertise the companies vacancies. Recruiting when done manually requires so much time and effort. What big organizations need nowadays is a tool that will automate the processes of evaluation and recruitment.

Proposed Solution

The researchers proposed a Web-based Employee Performance Management System with an Online Recruitment Module to assist HR departments in evaluating and selecting the best candidates for a job. All of the operations required to adequately analyze staff efficiency will be automated by the system. The technique will lower the likelihood of errors and provide a better advantage in collecting correct ratings and rewarding those who put in the extra effort. Using the system would also make employee recruiting simpler, lowering the amount of money spent by the organization on recruitment ads.

Objectives of the Study

General Objective – the general purpose of the project is to design and develop a system that will assist in evaluating employee performance as well as with the recruitment of employees.

The specific objectives of the project are the following:

  1. To develop a system that will facilitate the processes in evaluating the performance of employees.
  2. To develop a system that will provide support for recruitment/selection of applicants.
  3. The system will ease up the work of the HR department.
  4. The system will provide an accurate and reliable result for evaluation.
  5. The system is convenient to use and will provide hassle-free recruitment processes.

Scope of the Study

The researchers mainly focus on developing a system that will streamline the process of evaluating and selecting employees for a job. The system will be designed to have an online recruitment module that allows the electronic recruitment of job applicants. The system will allow the companies to save time and cost in selecting their employees. The researchers will have a sample size of companies and HR department staff to participate in the study.

Conclusion

It is critical to evaluate employees’ performance to motivate them to do their best work by providing them the credit they deserve. The study’s goal was to establish and develop a method that would aid the HR department in analyzing the company’s employees’ performance. The system will also provide them with an internet platform for online employment recruitment. After the development, the researchers presented the system to the intended users. The result of the study showed that the intended users positively respond to the effectiveness of the system in streamlining the process of evaluation and selection of employees.

Hence, the researchers concluded that the developed system is an effective tool to efficiently evaluate and select the best candidates for a job. The system will allow the HR department to use a systematic approach that saves their time and effort as well as the money spent by the company for evaluation and recruitment.
