Car Parking System in PHP MySQL and Bootstrap
The project entitled Car Parking System is a web based system that can be deploy in local area network or in a live server that can be accessed in the internet. It is an information system that records the information of vehicle and to monitor the incoming and outgoing vehicles in the parking area.
Analysis and Quick Design
In this study, the researchers conducted a survey which was a verbal interview wherein the researchers offered to the client a developed project that will be helpful in terms of accessibility. During the interview of the researcher, he/she explained the different functions of the proposed system wherein the client agreed and made some suggestions regarding what the researchers offered. After conducting an interview the researchers made a new development design for the developed system.
Data Analysis
After conducting a survey, the researchers made a primary conclusion that it was best to consider the needs and requirements of the client. The researchers also analyzed that gap encountered by the organization wherein the common problems will be solved. With that, these problems can help improve the existing system in such a way that it will provide useful functions to the users and to the client.
System Design
The researchers create a system depending on the requirements and needs of the clients. It also involves a unique design output that will be interactional to the users and the client.
Prototype Cycle
In this cycle, it discusses the different level of the development process in creating a system. After collecting the data from the client the researchers develop a unique design of the system and add more features to fit the system. The system also shows the different design that will be more efficient to the users, as well as to the admin.
In this project, the researchers/developers used PHP as the scripting language and the entity that will link to the database part of the system which uses MySQL. For the design and interface we used Bootstrap, it is a CSS framework with predefined sets of design.
Testing
In this part, the comments and feed backs are being tested after it was implemented to the three experts in building a system and to the respective users. There are some suggestions from the client to the developer of the system that needs to be improved.
Implementation
In this section, it explains the implementation of the developed system wherein the three experts evaluate the system in terms of its functionality features and the security factors. It discusses if the gaps of the existing system are solved, as well as, the requirements and needs of the users, as well as, clients.
Maintenance
As the saying goes that there is no such thing as perfect, this is also applicable to all software projects. The system needs to be upgraded and updated based on the requirements of the end-users and clients. This is the most important stage of the project since this phase will equate to the sustainability of the project/system.
Car Parking System Modules
Login – this is where the user enters the correct combination of username and password for them to gain access and manage the records of the system.
Dashboard – the dashboard serves as the homepage or control panel of the system, it is the form of the system that links to the other pages of the project. The image below shows the dashboard of the system. It displays the statistics such as the available slots, occupied slots and the number of vehicle entries.
Manage Category – types of vehicles are encoded and manage in this module of the system.
Customer Information – this is the module that records the personal information of the customers together with their vehicle information.
Manage Outgoing Vehicle – this module will record the vehicle that will leave the parking area, it also records the parking history and the name of the owner/driver. Outgoing report can also be generated in this module. The image below shows the outgoing module of the system.
Manage Incoming Vehicle – the vehicle that will park in the parking area will be recorded and managed in this module. Report can also be printed for every entry of the vehicle.
Vehicle Information Module – vehicle information such as the owner, plate number and other essential information of the vehicle will be recorded in this module.
Parking Slot Information – this module will show which of the parking areas are occupied and available.
