Nail and Spa Billing System VB.net and SQL Server
The project entitled Billing System deals with the transactions and processes involved in nail and spa business. The said application was designed and developed in Visual Basic.Net and SQL Server; it is also available in MySQL version of database.
Billing system is an information system that holds and stores information primarily on customer billing records and services sales transactions. It is used to automate the process of billing, sales and reports management system of the company or organization.

Planning and Analysis Phase
In this phase, the researchers planned and analyzed the different requirements and activities needed for the development of the proposed system. It includes the necessary preparation of interview and different procedure and was attain to the objectives which include the data gathering in order to achieve the recommended features of the system.
Development Phase
The following are the requirements needed in developing the system. It includes the three components of the computer systems which are the software, hardware and people ware.
Software Requirements
The importance of the software during the development and the implementation of the system must be given attention for the system needs compatible software so that it can perform its desired functions. The software requirements are the following; Operating System – Windows 7 and 10, Visual Studio (C# and SQL Server), MySQL Server and mysql connector for MySQL versoin of database..
Hardware Requirements
The importance of the hardware during the development and the implementation of the system must be given attention for the system needs compatible hardware so that it can perform its desired functions.
The following are the list of hardware requirements for development and implementation of the system; Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-5005U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz, Memory: 4GB, Disk Storage: 160 GB (minimum), ROM, Router, Rj45, Unshielded twisted pair, Hard Disk Drive 232 GB, Resolution 1366×768, QWERTY Keyboard, USB Optical Mouse and for Mobile – 2GB RAM 16GB
People ware Requirements
The following are persons involved in the development of the system. The Manager who will regularly check the records of the client and manage the system. The staff that will use the system to process the business transaction of the client. The Client who avails the services of the company.
Design Phase
In this phase, the researchers gathered information from the Manager for the improvement of the system.
Testing Plan
In this phase, the researchers provided the evaluation sheet for the end-user; it must be given by the end-user ratings based on the given criteria.
Testing Phase
In this phase, the researchers asked I.T Experts for the Initial and final testing using McCall’s Software Quality Model.
Implementation
This phase is very important to implement the system to help the company to gather the information of every client in a fastest way and process the business transaction.
Maintenance
The system needs maintenance for keeping the system efficient and precise. It is important that the person who is responsible of this have ability for debugging the system problem.
Conclusion
In this project, the researcher implemented a billing system that will cater the needs, requirements and business processes of a nail and spa business. The manual process was replaces with a database oriented project that lessens and make the records secure, organize and accurate.
