In this capstone project, the researchers develop a platform named “payroll system in PHP” that employs advanced calculation techniques and controls employees’ earnings and compensation. a more effective platform for organizing and computing employee information, earnings, bonuses, salaries, and promotions. The purpose of the “Payroll system” is to eliminate all issues and optimize operations. The primary purpose of the project is to replace and improve their manual for recording, computing, and administering staff pay, resulting in a more trustworthy platform to consider. And the goal of this project is to fill in the gaps left by the prior one. The SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method will be used to design the system. To test and validate the system, the researchers will assemble a sample size of participating students, teachers, and other end-users. IT professionals will evaluate the system to make modifications. Based on expert feedback, the researchers will fine-tune the technique.

Introduction of the Study

The capstone project, “Payroll System in PHP,” is an advanced calculation technique that manages employee pay and salaries. It is stated that performing payroll operations in an organization in a manual form is prone to errors, inconsistency of data, unorganized flow data in a sheet, inaccurately compute the given digits, and it is most costly because it deals with financial aspects in an organization, which leads to inappropriate payment of salaries or wages. Given that this operation type in a business requires a lot of manpower, brain, and effort to be performed, it can be distributed each such that one person can execute the computation, and the other will list all the work of that specific employee. Since the executions are not centralized, there is a risk of data loss and inconsistency with that type of operation and ideas. 2. To design a system in a corporation or organization that tracks and manages employee payments, salaries, and wages, as well as other accounting-related responsibilities.
3. Design and implement an advanced wage and employee record management system.
4. To develop a payroll system capable of controlling and ensuring error-free processing and activities.
5. To alleviate the employee’s paperwork burden while yet offering accurate work.

Scope of the Study

The primary goal of this research is to develop a “payroll system in PHP” that manages employee accounting activities such as wages, salaries, bonuses, net pay, and deductions. It emphasizes the significance and advantages of a payroll system for the operation of paying personnel in a separate business or for end-users. This project is ostensibly for “Alleron Parts Corp.”, and its purpose is to handle and monitor their employees’ salaries and records in a timely, organized, and effective manner. This system displays the employees’ benefits, which include SSS, Philhealth, and Pag-ibig. It also displays all of the relevant salary computation information.

Significance of the Study

The following people or groups will benefit from this research:

Organization/company: sending payrolls and monitoring employee records, paying tracking with those records This system is responsible for completely demolishment because it is the only system capable of completing the task. This method enables a company to maximize profits while minimizing the amount of manpower and additional equipment needed to compute pay. They can already handle a horrendous chore in terms of providing payrolls to employees using this project.

Accountant/Payroll system administrator: they will be able to retrieve and update employee records more quickly as a result of this. This will help them to give better service, more easily update their records, and keep track of their employees’ performance.

Employees: because the system is secure, they may have faith in each of their data; they won’t have to worry about calculating their income or other accounting or financial benefits because the system is designed to be more precise and efficient.

Researchers: As a result of the inquiry, they will have a greater understanding and knowledge of the project.

Conclusion

The goal of this research was to create a “Payroll System in PHP.” The system’s current mode automates payroll for faster, easier, and more accurate calculation of salaries and deductions. Its purpose was to replace and improve their manual for recording, computing, and administering employee compensation, making it a more reliable platform to use. Given all of the evidence supporting the system’s benefits and advantages, it is determined that its deployment is vital, given how difficult payroll transactions are to perform without the assistance of a computer or technology. The entire process, including payrolls, employee benefits, and other accounting data, will be digitized and database-driven, providing for more secure data storage.

Recommendations

Previous research has found that the manual way of processing payroll requires a significant amount of responsibility, manpower, time, and effort. It overburdens the organization’s administrator or accountant, and the inconsistent data that will be recorded will never be removed, resulting in operational problems. As a result, it is strongly advised that the system be implemented. Because it demonstrates that the capstone project is undeniably profitable and beneficial to the organization and its employees.

1. Since the manual payroll preparation system is archaic, time-consuming, and prone to error, it is recommended that it be phased out.
