The capstone project, Visitor Log Monitoring System, is a simple attendance system designed to track visitors in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). It’s a computer-based system that keeps track of inmates’ and visitors’ information as well as the visit log for reporting purposes. The project is intended to fill in the gaps left by the previous one. The system will be developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. Proposed solution
This project intends to construct a visitor log monitoring system in BJMP as a solution to the above-mentioned problem. Making it easier for the allocated staff to manage the visitors’ data security. The goal of the research is to create a secure log monitoring system for and inmates to minimize dispute and data loss, as well as to protect the safety and well-being of visitors and inmates by obtaining control and establishing a visitation time frame. General Objective– generally the system aims to develop a computer-based visitor log monitoring system for BJMP. In managing the visitor’s records and to keep a tightened security out of this system.

- Organize visitor names for easier tracking.
- To keep track of guests who come in and out of the jail.
- Provide an electronic storage facility for visitor information.
- To assist in improving the security and safety of both the inmates and the correctional facilities;
- To create an automated system for quickly locating records

The following is the study’s scope:
- The approved users and jail officials have access to the BJMP Visitor’s Log Monitoring System. The system users can quickly update and encode the data of the inmate’s visitors by using the provided password and log in.
- For BJMP workers, the project-centered on the establishment of the BJMP Visitor’s Log Monitoring System. This will automate the inmate visitor monitoring system.

It will not be a problem for them to preserve the records on paper; instead, they will just encode the name because it is already computerized. They can also provide effective reports.
Researchers: They will gain a better insight and knowledge of the project as a result of the study.
Future Researchers: Future researchers will profit from this study because it will act as a reference or guide for them to do their research.
