People in this period have less time and more jobs to perform, necessitating travel. They require automobiles that will allow them to get to their destination on time and in comfort. In conjunction with this, the researchers would like to propose an IT-based solution which is the development of a Car Rental System. The said initiative will digitally transform the process of inquiring about available cars for rent. Car rental companies may use the information system by posting the details about the cars along with their rental rate. The company may also post a picture of the car to allow clients to easily visualize the car. The project would ease up the transaction between car rental businesses and their clients. The researchers will develop the project following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) techniques. The researchers will provide a questionnaire to help with the development of the suggested system, which will clarify the system’s usefulness. The possibility of encountering issues when operating the system will also be addressed. The system will be improved and developed as a result of this. The target users of the system are car rental companies and their clients.
Introduction of the Study
The capstone project entitled “ Car Rental System “ is designed to digitally transform day-to-day operations and transactions in a car rental business and its clients. The project is a platform that showcases cars available for rent. It is an information system that enables car owners to post and publish the information of their cars for rent and for the customers to browse available cars they want to rent that will serve their needs. The said system will make development in this existing system, instead of going physically to rent a vehicle the customer just need to utilize the system.
Not everyone can afford to buy a vehicle for personal use these days. The majority of those who can’t afford a car rely on renting one. The trouble is that finding vehicles that will satisfy their demands while being used takes a lot of time and effort, which is why people who want to hire a car typically visit car rental firms to hunt for automobiles that will serve and satisfy their needs. People have less time and more work to do during this season, necessitating travel. They require vehicles that will allow them to arrive on time and in comfort at their destination. There is a visible need for a convenient platform to inquire about the car for rent in a fast and hassle-free manner.

To address the aforementioned concerns, the researchers proposed the development of the Car Rental System. The project would ease up the transaction between car rental businesses and their clients. Car rental companies may use the information system by posting the details about the cars along with their rental rate. The company may also post a picture of the car to allow clients to easily visualize the car. Clients who are looking for available vehicles to rent are on the user’s side. They might reserve a vehicle for a trip, a business meeting, or any other purpose. The admins are in charge of the vehicle rental service management. Bookings, rental services, and maintenance will all be kept track of by the admin. For contact and booking purposes, the user/customer must log in to their accounts.
