In this study the researchers aimed to develop an information system entitled “City Social Welfare and Development Office Data Archiving Information System” that is reliable and efficient.
PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION
Data archiving information system is the process of capturing, collating, analyzing, and organizing any information that serves to identify, manage, locate, and interpret the holdings of archival institutions and explain the contexts and records systems from which those holdings were selected. The purpose of Department of Social Welfare Development is preservation and access. It aims to establish and maintain a safe, secure, and trustworthy environment for information data and its supporting documentation to ensure that it remains accessible and usable in the future as an enduring national statistical resource. And also is to provide a framework of concepts and terminology that facilitate long-term preservation and access to digital information is to establish a system for archiving information, both digitized and physical, with an organizational scheme composed of people who accept the responsibility to preserve information and make it available to a designated community.

Employees – The employees play a major role on this system. This will enhance their transaction such to inquire personal profiles, as one of the reason for promotion.
Company – Gives the company a convenient and easy way of finding and locating the data.
Researcher – This will give the researcher an idea to improve the research and thesis writing skills and develop their programming skills.
Other Researchers – The project serves as another source of information for other researchers. It could be a great help for them in analyzing, interpreting and gives them an idea in investigating study regarding Data Archiving.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The main purpose of the study was to develop a web-based application entitled “City Social Welfare and Development Office Data Archiving Information System” that is reliable, efficient, and secured. The developed system shall provide long term protection for the data.
Specifically, this project aimed to:
- To maintain a safe, secure, and trustworthy environment for information and its supporting documentation.
- Secure the records of client and to have more manageable files.
- Develop a system that will monitor client’s data that is efficient to use
- To automate the process of identifying and moving the appropriate data into the archive system.
