Employee and Faculty Evaluation with Ranking and Succession Planning

The project entitled Employee and Faculty Evaluation with Ranking and Succession Planning is a LAN based application designed and developed in Visual Basic and MS Access as the database.

Employee and faculty evaluation is one of the key functions of HR department or the human resource department; they are the one who conducts the evaluation for the faculty members and employees of the academic institution.

The application was designed to run in a local setting or environment which means that the application runs on a peer to peer setup. The executable file and the database must reside on the same directory or folder then the directory will be shared in the network in order for the other computers to use the application. Proper configuration of the shared folder is required as well as the strong password for the MS Access database must be strictly implemented.

The following are the features of Employee and Faculty Evaluation with Ranking and Succession Planning:

Employee Profile – records of employee that includes personal information such as name, contact, address, status, position, department, etc. This module also includes the records of employee’s seminars and workshop, achievement and awards, and as well as the educational attainment.

School Year setup  - school year/ academic year records (example: 2018-2019 1st semester).

Department – this module allows the user to encode the different departments and offices of the academic institution (example: administration, bsit department, hr department).

Employee/Faculty Position – the section of the application that stores the different types of employee and faculty classification or position (example: admin aide 1, instructor 1, accountant 1)

Percentage Rate Module – the percentage rate module is the allocation of percentage for every category of rating (example: supervisor=60%, peer=20%, client=10%, self=10%)

Encoding/Scoring of Evaluation – this is the module where the encoding of scores and rates for every employee and faculty member are recorded.

Succession Planning Module – succession planning is where the user encodes the possible replacement if someone will retire, resign or transfer to another institution.

General Ranking Report (Overall Report) – the overall score of each employee per category. This will display the list of employees and faculty members with their scores on supervisor, peer, client and self.

Rate by Supervisor Report - this will only display the scores of employees and faculty members under their respective supervisor.

Rate by Peer Report - this will only display the scores of employees and faculty members under their peer or co-workers.

Rate by Client/Student Report - this will only display the scores of employees and faculty members under their respective students and clients.

Rate by Self Report - this will only display the scores of employees and faculty members on how they assess their performance.

Faculty Ranking by Department/Office – reports of scores and ranking by department and offices.
