IPO Model Conceptual Framework of Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication
This post will walk you through creating a conceptual framework for your capstone project, Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication. The input, process, and output (IPO) model was used to lay the groundwork for this research.
About the Project
The capstone project, “Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication,” is an online platform for creating and publishing school publications. The web and mobile-based newsletter app with a forum will allow members of the school publication to share ideas about the scope of the publication’s contents, as well as allow students to access the publication electronically.
Usually, school publications let the student members write the material of the publication with the guidance of the school publication adviser. The staffs of the school publication usually meet to share ideas on what content the publication should publish, which takes time for both students and advisers. After the meeting, students will begin writing the contents, which they will then hand off to the adviser for proofreading which will sometimes cause delays in publishing due to physical barriers and time constraints. Publishing of the school publication also is done via hardcopy which is costly and students cannot access it
Objectives of the Study
- To develop a newsletter app that will ease up producing the school publication.
- To develop a platform that will electronically connect the staff of the school publication.
- The application will serve as a platform where school publications are highly accessible and reliable.
- The application will have a user-friendly interface for students to easily use it.
- The application is accurate, reliable, and convenient to use.
IPO Model Conceptual Framework
The Input, Process, and Output (IPO) paradigm was used to create the conceptual framework for the Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication shown above.
Input
- Problem Identification – the respondents of this study will be the schools and their publication team. Usually, school publications let the student members write the material of the publication with the guidance of the school publication adviser. The staffs of the school publication usually meet to share ideas on what content the publication should publish, which takes time for both students and advisers.
- User Requirement – this is the part where the researchers have gathered information on the specific features of the system. It is very important to consider their ideas since they will be the one to use the Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication.
- Literature Review – the researchers have conducted researches and studies that are closely related to the propose system. This process will help the researchers in the development of the project or system.
- Planning and Preparation – this is the part where the researchers will prepare the timeline and scheduled of activities for the entire project.
Process
Identify the features of the system – this stage of the process cycle is where the researchers enumerate the list of features to be included in the system based on the specified requirements needed by the end-users.
Screen layout – the researchers created a wireframe for every features and form design as well. User Interface of the project is the output for this part.
ERD – entity relationship diagram represents the structural data model of the project.
Database Design – the ERD will be converted into the actual database that will be used in the project, in this case the erd will be converted into a sql database.
Use Case – the researchers also prepares a diagram on what are the features the users can access.
This diagram shows the use case of a web and mobile newsletter app that allows for school publication. The app allows users to create and send newsletters, as well as post to a forum for discussion among classmates. The app also includes a calendar function to keep track of important dates.
- User creates a new newsletter through the app.
- User enters content for their newsletter.
- User selects a theme for their newsletter.
- User selects images from their photo library to use in their newsletter.
- User selects fonts and colors for their text and graphics, if desired.
- User publishes their newsletter!
Programming/Coding – this is the project comes into life, the project will be developed in PHP, MySQL and Bootstrap.
Testing – the project needs to be tested before it will be implemented with live data and information.
Output
Deployment and Implementation of Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication – the design of the implementation is parallel, which means that the current manual method will still be in use while the system is also up and running. The purpose of the parallel method is to compare the results of the manual to the result of the database system. Eventually the manual process will be abandoned and the full implementation of the system will took place.
This is a web and mobile newsletter app that allows school publications to be created and distributed. It includes a forum where users can discuss the content of the newsletter.
This app would be perfect for schools, universities, and other organizations that need to create and distribute newsletters. It allows users to easily create and share newsletters, and provides a forum where users can discuss the content.
Outcome
- Allow members of the school publication to share ideas about the scope of the publication’s contents, as well as allow students to access the publication electronically.
Impact
Provides efficient recording, storage and easy retrieval of school publication records.
Summary
“Web and Mobile Newsletter App with Forum for School Publication,” the capstone project, is an online platform for generating and publishing school publications. This article focused on the study’s conceptual framework creation. The researchers employed the output, process, and input (IPO) model, as well as defining the project’s outcome and impact. Problem identification, user requirements, literature review, and planning and preparation are all part of the input process. Identifying the system’s features, screen layout, ERD, Use Case, Database Design, Programming/Coding, and program testing are all steps in the process phase. The project will be delivered and implemented after it has been developed. Overall, the system will ensure that school publication records are efficiently recorded, stored, and retrieved.
