How to Manage Contents in Drupal
In this lesson we are going to learn how to Manage Contents in Drupal.
Creating Content:
1. Login to your Drupal site using the administrator account.
2. Click Content in the toolbar to go to the Content administration page.
3. Click the Add content link.
4. Select the content type you want to create. There are two default types of content: articles and basic pages.
5. Fill in the fields:
- Title: Title of the content.
- Body: The body of your content. It contains the message of the content.
- Text format: Select the text format you want to use for your content.
Change other options as desired. There are 6 categories:
- Menu settings
- Revision Information
- URL path settings
- Comment settings
- Authoring Information
- Publishing options.
6. Click Save button to save the content, click Preview to Preview your work.
Updating of contents:
1. Login to your Drupal site using the administrator account.
2. Click Content in the toolbar to go to the Content administration page.
3. In the administration page you’ll see the list of contents that you have created. In the operations column select the edit link that corresponds to the content you want to edit.
4. You will proceed to the edit form. Here you can modify your content.
5. Click Save button to save the content, click Preview to Preview your work.
Deleting of contents:
1. Login to your Drupal site using the administrator account.
2. Click Content in the toolbar to go to the Content administration page.
3. In the administration page you’ll see the list of contents that you have created. In the operations column select the delete link that corresponds to the content you want to delete.
4. You will be asked if you want to delete the content, click Delete button.
5. Your content has been deleted.
